Born in a small town in NY state, Julie began singing at the tender age of four, standing on the church pew beside her parents. She has never stopped singing!
Raised in a home where there was always someone singing or playing a musical instrument, Julie had a continuous venue and an adoring audience.
Julie Crawford has received many awards and nominations, (visit the SAMMY page), and has an unsurpassed level of entertainment and vocal skills.
Her repertoire runs the gamut--pop & country, big band, blues, swing & disco. Did I mention oldies & classic rock?
Julie adapts to any venue -- concerts, parties, private clubs and little rocking rowdy bars, tailoring her set list to her audience. She reads the crowd and gives her best, with style and an incredible vocal ability.
Julie's entertainment style is easy and laid back -- it's obvious she loves what she does!
Meet Frank Crawford...
Frank was also born in a small town in NY state. Frank is multi-talented and well respected in the music community.
He began music lessons at a very early age, taking accordion lessons, and fell in love with the tuba at the age of 10.
Frank carried on his band and orchestra training through high school and college, and obtained a BS in Music Education & Performance.
Along the way he also acquired skills in piano, bass guitar, trombone, and midi sequencing.
Frank programs and arranges all the music for Julie's performances and recordings, and also executes the sound reinforcement and lighting duties for each and every show.
Julie and Frank have been performing together since 1976, and each will tell you that there's no other musician either of them would rather be onstage with.

Her range is extraordinary, and she’s equally comfortable singing a Patsy Cline ballad or an Aretha Franklin tune. Once you hear her, you will never forget her! Asked about her music philosophy, she responds, “Fans often say to me, ' you should go to Nashville and be a big star.' " My answer to that is, “There are dozens of women there who sing as well, or better than I. When I was younger, and may have ‘made it,’ I had small children. I'd rather be right here doing what I do for you folks. I feel very successful --and if I were a big star-- I probably wouldn't be standing here chatting with you. And that is most rewarding!” |
